Lipol Grace Academy is a non stock corporation. It was created to cater the needs of every
young indigenous Filipinos in the Province of Sarangani Davao del Sur. Purposes
and aim of the school is to help educate the people. Balut Island has only two government
school namely Alberto Olarte Sr. National High School and Jose De Arce National
high School. It was in August 2011 when the church members headed by the church
President Mr. Vicente Dalumpines decided to put up a school in Barangay Lipol
for they find it difficult in going to Alberto Olarte Sr. National High since you need to travel about an hour before
you can reach AOSNHS. Another reason is that parents are very much in burdened
with the financial obligations
In the year 2011, Mr. Jessemar Jaron Wao and Pastor Ted I. Plale worked out the papers
for Lipol Grace Academy. The first move which is to have the Articles of
Incorporation and other necessary documents were all had prepared and
submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for approval.
The experienced was challenging for so many things were new to him though. He
travelled many times in Davao City for the papers to be complied and completed.
After Securities and Exchange
Commission's approval and releasing of documents, another challenge headed up,
the Department of Education Permit and Recognition. Almost 5 months of
preparing the documents, at last DepEd officials decided to visit Lipol Grace
Academy school site and inspected the place. During that time, the DepEd
officials were skeptical about the travel for the weather was very critical.
However, Mr. Wao was able to convince the two Dep Ed XI personnel Dr.
Yambao and Dr. Hua. After inspection, they issued Government Permit No 49
series of 2012 allowing Lipol Grace Academy to operate and accept enrollees for
the school year 2012-2013.
The school was named before
Lipol Grace Gospel Church, since most of the members of the corporation are
from Grace Gospel church so they decided to name it as Lipol Grace Academy Inc.
The school is a non-stock corporation. It took many months of preparing the
documents, and also the efforts (bayanihan) extended by the members in cleaning
up the place and of the buildings as well as money to be
financed. With the help of the funds of the church and from the
voluntary financial assistance of the president the school had its two storey buildings which has five concrete
classrooms and a library. The school is still finding some ways in financing
buildings and providing instructional materials. First operation, the school
had convinced hundred of students in high school, from First Year to second
year.
